Banihal-Sangaldan section (48 km) was dedicated to the nation by Honble PM on 20-02-24. Works on remaining Katra-Sangaldan section (63 km) are in an advanced stage of completion. This section includes 14 main tunnels and 5 escape tunnels wherein mining of both main and escape tunnels has been completed. Now, 639m of lining in MT is balance out of a total scope of 43.33 km, in challenging geology of Tunnel T-33 and T-42. More than 61 km of track linking has been completed out of the total scope of 67 km. Only 1 bridge remains out of the total 33 bridges. Total 4 stations are in between Katra- Sangaldan section. All stations completed. | Main Tunnel scope for Katra-Banihal section is 97,419m, mining of 24 m completed this month with cumulative progress of 97,305 m. Lining of 359 m completed this month with cumulative progress of 95,824 m.
Escape Tunnel scope for Katra-Banihal section is 66,400m, mining 40 m completed this month with entire ET mining completed. Lining 895 m completed this month with cumulative progress of 59,954 m.
Entire section including yards is on Ballast less Track (BLT). 7.7 km completed in this month with cumulative progress of 80.1 km out of 118 km.
Total 7 stations are in between Katra- Banihal section. All stations nearly completed except Sawalkote station (90% work completed). |
