| i) Khagaria - Kamathan - Alauli (19 km):- commissioned for goods traffic on 4.05.2022, will be commissioned for passenger traffic by July 23
ii) Alauli - Kusheshwarasthan (23.1 km) :- Hydrological studies were carried out by RITES Ltd. Hydrological survey from Alauli to Kusheshwarasthan is competed and final report is submitted by RITES Ltd.. 2nd revised estimate KGG - KSS has been prepared on the basis of RITES report sent to Rly Bd. for approval, same has been returned unsanctioned on 03.05.24, again resubmitted with compliance to RB minutes on 05.06.2024, same has been returned unsanctioned on 15.07.24 & resubmitted to RB with compliance on 21.08.2024, same has been returned unsanctioned on 05.09.2024 & resubmitted to RB with compliance. Again sent with compliance but returned by Rly. Bd. on 19.11.2024. Now again compliance submitted to Rly. Bd. on 14.01.2025. Again a letter written to Rly. Bd. on 03.03.2025 about finance matter clarification. Target month of commissioning - Mar 27 | a) Khagaria - Kamathan - Alauli (19 km):- section opened for Goods traffic on 04.05.2022.
b) Alauli - Kusheswarsthan(23.1km) -
Hydrological study has been completed and report has been submitted by RITES Ltd in Jan,22. Additional provisions like 02 Nos. of important bridges ( 8x61.0m OWG & 11X61.0m OWG), 04 Nos. of major bridges & 16 Nos. of minor bridges etc. have been recommended in the above report. Accordingly, estimate has been revised for total cost of Rs. 1511.08 Cr. and sent to Railway Board on 19.05.2023. Location of Kusheshwar Asthan Yard under revision due to change in Alignment. Target month of commissioning - Dec’26
