Manufacturing and progressive delivery of Long Manufacturing Cycle and First Priority equipment and components are in progress and so far cumulative 233 out of 450 Nos. manufacturing milestones are completed.
NPCIL’s approval of Atomstroy Export (ASE) proposals for sub-contractors is in progress. Submission, review & acceptance of design and working documentations under First Priority Design Works (FPDW) Contract and Working Documentation (WD) Contract are in progress. Handover certificate for 669 out of 715 First Priority Design Works (FPDW) packages and 2308 out of 2907 Working Documentation (WD) packages have been issued so far.
42nd Break Bulk Vessel containing about 5,600 FRT (Freight Ton) project cargo arrived at Tuticorin port on 10.08.2024.43rd Break Bulk Vessel containing about 1,380 FRT (Freight Ton) project cargo departed from Novorossiysk port, Russian Federation on 19.08.2024.
Tendering/Procurement activities for items in Indian scope of supply are in progress. In Indian supply scope, 2 nos. of first priority SS tanks dispatched to KKNPP Site (With this 14 out of 38 nos. SS tank dispatch/ delivered to KKNPP Site). Shipping Release Note (SRN) issued for 34.31 MT of large diameter condenser cooling water pipeline, 2 nos. of Embedded Guided Structure (EGS) and 8 nos. Gate storage racks.
Unit-5: Civil works are in progress. A major milestone “Construction of Reactor Auxiliary Building up to El 0.0 M” is completed. Concreting of Thrust Truss at El +21.67 M is completed in RB-5.Construction of walls from El +6 M to +14.0 M and concreting of slab at El +14 M of Accident Localization Area (ALA) of RB-5 is in progress. Erection of liner for Inner Containment Wall (ICW) from El +20.1 M to El +25.7 M is completed. Construction of walls from El +0.00 M to +3.65 M is in progress in Reactor Auxiliary Building–5. Concreting of slab at El 0.00 M and Construction of walls & columns from El 0.0 M to +7.8 M is in progress in Turbine Building-5.Physical progress of the Unit-5 as of end August 2024 is 31.09%.
Unit-6: Civil works are in progress. Construction of Inner Containment Wall (ICW) from El +8.77 M to +14.1 M is in progress in RB-6. Reinforcement for reactor cavity wall up to El +3.5 Mand floor liner erection for slab at El +5.4 M is in progress in Reactor Building-6.Construction of Slab at El -3.6 M and construction of walls from El -3.65 M to -0.05M is in progress in Reactor Auxiliary Building. Construction of walls from El -7.2 M to -0.65 M is in progress in Turbine Building. Physical progress of the Unit-6 as of end August 2024 is 26.95%.

40th Break Bulk Vessel containing ~6835 FRT (Freight Ton) project cargo and 41st Break Bulk Vessel containing ~12,123 FRT (Freight Ton) project cargo arrived at Tuticorin port, Tamilnadu.

In Indian supply scope, Shipping Release Note (SRN) issued for 28 spools (161.22 MT) of large diameter condenser cooling water pipelines, 2 Travelling water screen and 10 Revolving Trash Rack Cleaning Machine under EPC-Sea Water System Package.
Unit-5: Civil works are in progress. Reinforcement for Cavity walls from El +14.7 M to +17.1 M is in progress. Construction of Inner Containment Wall (from El +8.77 to +14.50 M is completed. Construction of walls from El -3.65 M to +0.0 M is in progress in Reactor Auxiliary Building- 5 and Concreting of Slab at El +0.0 M is in progress. Construction of walls from El +10.15-M to +13.75 M is in progress in Reactor Ancillary systems. Construction of walls up to El +0.00 M is completed and concreting of slab at El +0.00 M is under progress in Turbine Building. Physical progress of the Unit-5 as of end March 2024 is 26.58%.
Unit-6: Civil works are in progress. Reinforcement works for Cavity Base slab at El 1.15 M is in progress. Reinforcement, Embedded parts and Shuttering works is in progress for Slab at El +5.4 M in Reactor Building. Construction of Slab at El -3.6 M is in progress in Reactor Auxiliary Building. Construction of walls above raft from El -7.2 M to -0.05 M is in progress in Turbine Building. Construction of walls above raft from El -7.25 M to -3.65 M is in progress in Normal Operation Power Supply Building. Physical progress of the Unit-6 as of end March 2024 is 22.80%.
Construction of Hydro Technical Structures (Pump houses & related facilities) is in progress as a part of combined work for KKNPP- 3 to 6.
