Work awarded on 21.02.2018. Construction of Power House Cavern, MIV cavern, Transformer Hall cavern, Valve House are in progress. The progress of major activities are under:

Dam Works
Work awarded on 21.06.2018. Construction work in all fronts are in progress. The progress of major activities are under:
a) CFRD Filling: - 4787998 Cum filling achieved against total 7546000 Cum
b) Concrete lining in HRT 1 & 2 - 2879m achieved against total 4117m
c) Surface Excavation Surface Spillway - 774687 Cum achieved against total 778000 Cum
d) Surface Excavation Tunnel Spillway outlet- 421000 Cum achieved against total 421000 Cum
E&M Works
Work awarded on 02.01.2019. All material of PH EOT Crane-1, MIV crane & PP Valve crane received at site. Grounding system, Stator bars, Rotor poles, Stator frame, Spiral case assembly & Lower Pit Liner Segments of all units, 2 Runners, MIV & Butterfly valve of U-1 & 2, 2 nos. Generator Shafts, Rotor Rim & hub of U-1, GIS Components & GIS EOT Crane and 13 no. GSU Transformer have been received at site.
Erection of Draft Tube of all 4 Units have been completed by 11.01.23. Erection of Spiral Casing of Unit-1,2,3 & 4 completed. All of 13 nos. GSU Transformers placed at their designated slots in the Transformer Cavern. Installation of accessories in GSU Transformers is in progress. Rotor build up works of Unit-1 is in progress. Lowering of Stator in Unit-1 and Unit-2 successfully achieved on 07.11.2024 and 30.11.2024 respectively. Stator Buildup of unit 3 and 4 is in progress. Erection of Turbine and generator component in unit 1 and 2 is in progress.
HM Package
Work awarded on 26.08.2019. Erection of 2.9 M dia. Erection of 2.9 M dia. Pressure Shaft Liners of Lower Horizontal Portion PS1A, PS1B, PS2A and PS2B completed (218m). Progress of 170 m & 212.5m of erection of Steel liners achieved against cumulative length of 173.66m & 221m of Top horizontal PS-2 & PS-1 respectively. Bifurcation PS-1 and PS-2 (from top horizontal PS) has been completed on 19.03.2024 and 21.06.2024 respectively. Progress of 144m out of 149m in erection of steel liners in Bifurcation to VH PS1A, PS1B, PS2A and PS2B achieved and balance shall be completed after erection of Butterfly Valve. Erection of Steel liners in Vertical PS-3&4 is in progress.
HRT –TBM Package
Work awarded on 03.07.2020. Excavation of HRT-1 and 2 in progress and cumulative 6879 m out of total 14700m achieved.

Construction of Power House Cavern, MIV cavern, Transformer Hall cavern, Valve House are in progress. UG Excavation of Transformer cavern, MIV cavern & all 4 no. TRT (length of 104m each) and Transformer Cavern Concreting & Concreting of all 4nos. of Bus ducts have been completed.
Reaming of Surge Shaft-2 completed on 24.07.2023. Excavation of upper surge gallery-1&2, Pressure shafts are in progress. Power House machine hall concreting including Control block & service bay, MIV unit (all) concreting are also in progress.
Dam Works
Construction of U/s and D/s coffer dam is in progress.
Total excavated quantity for Tunnel Spillway Outlet, Inlet and Gate Shaft Platform in month of March 2024 is 12900 cum with cumulative achievement of 303515 cum. Tunnel spillway#1 heading (stage-1 & 2) excavation of 2X456m (912m) completed on 10.11.2023. Total cumulative progress of HRT 1 and HRT 2 till 31.03.2024 is 3801.5 m (Monthly achievement of 50 m). 32.84% Rock filling of CFRD has been completed.
E&M Works
Work awarded on 02.01.2019. Detailed Engineering of E&M equipments including submission/ checking of drawings, layout plan and equipment manufacturing, inspection & supply are in progress.
All material of PH EOT Crane-1, MIV crane & PP Valve crane received at site. Work awarded on 26.08.2019. Detailed Engineering, manufacturing of HM components is in progress. Erection of 2.9 M dia. Pressure Shaft Liners of Lower Horizontal Portion PS1B and PS2 of 54.6 m each & erection of Lower Horizontal Portion, 2.9 M dia. Including Connection with MIV-PS1A of 54.6 m have been achieved. Erection of Top Horizontal Portion of PS-2 & PS-1 of 6M dia is in progress and 170 mtr. & 200.4 mtr. achieved against cumulative length of 173.66 mtr & 211.43 mtr respectively. Further, Bifurcation PS#1&2 work is also in progress and 23.3m & 6.1m achieved respectively against cumulative length of 23.282 mtr each.
HRT –TBM Package
Work awarded on 03.07.2020. TBM-1 has been launched successfully on 25.07.2023 and cumulative 534m Excavation of Adit-1 have been completed on 23.01.2024 and further excavation of HRT-I of cumulative 348.5 m out of total 7350m achieved till 31.03.2024. Excavation of Adit-2 by DBM of 126 m (incl. 10m false portal) for launching of TBM has been also achieved on 19.10.2023. 55% Assembly of TBM-02 (Askini) is completed. |
