•Dam concreting: Started on 10.04.2023 and 5,973 cum out of 4.34 lakh cum completed.
d)Power House Works
•Excavation up to pit: Cumulative 4.91 lakh cum (98%) out of 4.99 lakh cum completed. Excavation for Unit-1, 2 & 3 completed.
•Unit-1 Concreting up to El.795.8m: Cumulative 2,091 cum (20%) out of 10,697 cum completed.
•Columns and Beams at Service Bay: Completed on 10.11.2023.
e)Construction of Flood Protection Wall: Concreting started on 09.04.2023 and 11,222 cum (86%) out of 13,120 cum completed.
f)TRC Excavation:
•Excavation: In Progress and cumulative 5.99 lakh cum (94%) out of 6.40 lakh cum completed.
•TRC Walls: Concreting in progress and cumulative 6,568 cum (53%) out of 12,280 cum completed.
Works at major fronts held up since 18.05.2024 due to overtopping of coffer dam and cavity formed in DT on 07.07.2024. After high flow season, breaking of Coffer Dam done on 19.11.2024 to channelize water through left bank. Treatment of 2nd cavity above Spring level completed on 05.05.2025. DT Inlet Gate lowered on 22.05.2025. Muck removal & Ribs erection below Spring level was in progress which hampered due to rise in water level.
ii) EM Works: Works awarded on 16.07.2021. Draft tube liners for all four units have been received at site. EOT crane has been delivered at site. Manufacturing of spiral case is in progress.
iii) Power Evacuation System: Work for construction of 220 kV transmission line from Switchyard to Common Pooling Station awarded. Case for diversion of forest land submitted on Parivesh portal on 11.01.2024. Forest clearance Stage-1 accorded by MOEF&CC on 27.05.2025. Proposal for private land compensation and RoW for transmission line is under process of approval. Foundation work for 1st tower in project area has been completed.

e) Construction of Flood Protection Wall: Concreting started on 09.04.2023 and 9,445 cum (72%) out of 13,120 cum completed.
f) TRC Excavation: In Progress and cumulative 5.93 lakh cum (93%) out of 6.40 lakh cum stripping completed.
ii) EM Works: Design/drawings of draft tube, EOT crane, spiral case, pit liner assembly, turbine shaft seal assembly, runner assembly, generator foundation and generator stator frame & core assembly have been approved. Draft tube liners for three units out of four received at site. DT liner for 4th unit is under transportation. Manufacturing of Spiral case & EOT crane is in progress.
iii) Power Evacuation System: Power from project will be evacuated through CTU network to Koldam. Detailed survey for 220 kV Transmission Line from switchyard to common pooling station completed. Case for diversion of forest land submitted on parivesh portal on 11.01.2024. Project screening meeting held on 22.02.2024 wherein case has been proposed for acceptance for stage-1 clearance. Proposal for private land compensation and RoW for Transmission line has been prepared. Authorization u/s 164 of Electricity Act, 2003 accorded by MoP on 01.12.2023.
