| Project suffered severe damage by unprecedented flash floods in the intervening night of 3rd/4th October 2023.
In Barrage area, 2,01,172 cum concreting done out of 345000 cum with 321 cum concrete placed in this month. In HRT, heading excavation of 10891 m has been completed out of 16790 m with 169 m achieved in May’2025. Overt lining of 5755 m completed out of 26,156 m and 389 m overt lining achieved during this month. Total 1254 cum concrete placed in Power House area during May’2025.
For making permanent approach for power house, work for construction of new Steel Bridge (70 R Load class) is under progress. All 5 Girders in 35m span placed at bearing further placing of sacrificial shutter over structural Girder is in progress. Fabrication of structural steel for 97 m span completed and trial assembly is in progress. Civil works of left abutment & middle pier have been completed and construction of right abutment is in progress.
Out of 342 ferrules, 182 No. of ferrules of the Pressure shaft liners have been completed. Radial Gate-1&2: River is flowing through bay 1 & 2 and work will be taken up after completion of remaining gates. Radial Gate-3: Work will be taken up after availability of approach. Radial Gate-4 & 5: Erection works are in progress.
E&M Works: Unit-1: Stator lowered in pit. Lower Bearing Bracket has been shifted to its position in barrel & its assembly with sole plate is under progress. Unit-2: Stator lowered in pit. Drying out of Stator by heating is in progress. Unit-3: Erection of Spiral casing completed. Unit-4: Erection of spiral casing segments is in progress.

577 cum concreting placed in Bay no 5 of Barrage in the month of Mar’2024. 375 cum concreting done in De-silting basin in Mar’2024. In HRT, 272.50 m Heading Excavation, 235 m benching excavation and 262.50 m overt lining done in Mar’2024. SFT excavation restarted and 33.50 m excavation done in Mar’2024. 768.50 cum concrete placed in Bailey bridge at upstream of Barrage in Mar’2024. Foundation concreting for construction of Bailey bridge at upstream of barrage is in progress.
Slush removal from Powerhouse and associated area is in progress. Restoration of batching plant & aggregate crusher plants are in progress. Slush removal from Fabrication yard and Crusher plant area is in progress.
