• Letter of Award of Civil Works Package for DT, Dam, Under Ground Power House, TRT, Pressure Shafts, HM works of DT has been issued on 11.05.2022.
• DT portal development, DT Excavation & Benching and CVT Excavation have been completed and River Diversion has been achieved on 15.01.2024. Excavation of MAT & PH Crown Excavation also achieved.
• Dam Concreting Up to EL 1306m – 125280Cum progress achieved against 140000 Cum
• Power House Excavation – 98203 Cum progress achieved against 141000 Cum total
• Surge Gallery-1 for TRT-1 - 766 m (completed) on 14.10.2024
• Surge Gallery-2 for TRT-2 – 489.2m progress out of 776 m has been made.
• TRT-1 Excavation – 845.1 m progress achieved out of 2786m
• TRT-2 Excavation – 671.2 m progress achieved out of 2963m
ii. Hydro mechanical Package (Lot-II)
• Notification of award of works has been issued to M/s Om Infra Ltd. on 25.10.2024. Design, Engineering, Inspection and Supply of HM equipment’s is in progress.
iii. Electro Mechanical Package (Lot III)
• Notification of award of works has been issued to M/s Power Machine (India) Ltd. on 24.01.2025. Contractor has started mobilization at the site. Design and Engineering for E&M equipment’s is in progress.

Excavation of MAT, Surge Gallery, Stripping of Dam Abutments, Dam Pit Excavation, TC approach tunnel and Construction of Coffer dam are in progress. Upstream Coffer Dam Excavation (1st stage)- Cumulative 15000 Cum has been completed.
• Upstream Coffer Dam Excavation (Main)- 20800 cum progress out of 75000 cum has been made till date.
• Dam Pit Excavation- 36200 cum progress out of 61000 cum has been made till date.
• MAT Excavation- 555 m progress out of 609 m has been made till date.
• PH Crown Excavation- 140 m progress out of 140 m has been made till date.
• TC approach tunnel Excavation-186 m progress out of 313 m has been made till date.
• Surge Gallery- 469 m progress out of 766 m has been made till date.
• Dam Stripping excavation- 135770 cum progress out of 220000 cum has been made till date.
• Adit to TRT- 317 m progress out of 550m has been achieved till date.
ii. Hydro mechanical Package (Lot-II)
Earlier issued NIT dated 11.08.2022 has been cancelled on 15.06.2023 and re-tendering has been done by inviting fresh NIT dated 30.08.2023 (4th instance). Techno-commercial bids of 3 firms have been opened on 16.10.2023 and finalisation of techno-commercial evaluation report is pending subject to want of Security Clearance of foreign participation from MHA.
iii. Electro Mechanical Package (Lot III)
The Board of CVPPL in its 80th Meeting has resolved for cancellation of current tendering process of E&M Works Package of Kwar HE Project and has directed for re-tendering. Re-tendering process is in progress. |
