Background Information
The main work is doubling of Dakshin Barasat – Lakshmikantapur doubling (19.68 KM) The work is sanctioned in 2009-10. The work completed and commissioned on 29.09.2016. Subsequently the following material modification works were sanctioned :- 1. Jaynagar – Raidighi (20 KM) New line - The work sanctioned in 2009-10 and cost of the project is Rs 140.46 cr. FLS completed 100.87 hectare of private land is required. Work could not be started due to non availability of land 2. Joynagar – Durgapur ( 32.0 Km. ) New line – The work sanctioned in 2011 - 12 and cost of the project is Rs 273.88 cr. FLS completed. Part Estimates for FLS & Soil Investigation sanctioned. FLS completed. Work could not be started due to non availability of land
