Background Information

Pandabeswar – Chinpai : commissioned on 01.03.2011. Subsequently the material modification works were sanctioned :- Barabani – Churulia (9 km) – New Line : Work was sanctioned in 2011-12 and cost of the project is Rs 68.06 cr. Declared as Special Railway Project. ADM/LA/Barddhaman nominated as Competent Authority. Soil exploration done. Detailed Estimate for Rs. 114.39 Cr. submitted to Railway Board and awaiting sanction. Work could not be started due to non availability of land.
