Background Information
a) Jaynagar - Kurtha (35 Km):- Commissioned. Section handed over to Govt. of Nepal on 22.10.2021. b) Kurtha to Bijalpura (18 Km):- Commissioned. Speed trial of the section has been done on 08.09.2022. Section handed over to Govt. of Nepal on 01.06.2023. c) Land between Bijalpura - Bardibas section has been acquired by Department of Railway, GON, on 07.11.2023. Survey work of Bijalpura - Bardibas section for the demarcation of the land boundary has been completed by fixing of Centerline, Boundary, and TBM Pillars.a) Jaynagar - Kurtha (35 Km):- Commissioned. Request has been sent to Dept. of Railways/Govt.of Nepal for taking over the section. b) Kurtha to Bijalpura (18 Km):- Speed trial of the section has been done on 08.09.2022. Section handed over to Govt. of Nepal on 01.06.2023. c) Land between Bijalpura – Bardibas (16 km) (approx. 65 hactares) has not yet been acquired by Govt. of Nepal. Work will start after land acquisition.
