Background Information
(i) Dankuni – Baruipara ( 11.28 Km ) 4th line – CRS inspection conducted on 28.12.2019 and authorization received at 100 KMPH. Section commissioned on 10.08.2020. (ii) Baruipara – Chandanpur 4th line (14.13 Km)– Commissioned on 02.12.2022. MM for Baruipara – Furfura (12.30 Km) New line –Sanctioned for Rs. 97.56 Cr. Work could not be started due to non- availability of land. However, the work has been kept in abeyance by Railway Board vide letter 2018/W- II/ER/Misc/12, dated 02.11.2018 having no tangible benefit.
