1. Project was sanctioned in the year 2011-12 for a distance of 308.70 Km with an estimated cost of Rs. 2288.77 Cr,
2. Asst required: State Govt. of AP has to deposit its share of Rs.1555 Cr. Govt. of AP deposited only Rs.6 Crs and share is pending from the year 2016 to till date. Further, LA in Prakasam, Nellore and Tirupati Dists to be expedited.CAO/C/SC’s Vide letter dated 09.01.23 addressed to The Secy./T,R&B requested the State Govt. to expedite the Land acquisition. Section bet New Piduguralla-Mallavaram (89 Km) is commissioned out of 308 km.
3. Mallavaram-Podili: 1.17 Ha to be handed over by AP Govt. A case is pending in HC on the rate of this Land. High court has given stay on award inquiry. Rly filed a vacate stay petition on 22.7.2024. Case is pending in Hon’ble High Court of AP. This land has to be handed over to complete the New line between Mallavaram-Kanigiri in 2024-25. Work completed on either side of this land.
4. Two Imp Bridges bet Kanigiri & Obulayapalle stations held up for want of land in Nellore dist.
5. In addition to this, even though land is handed over, farmers are not allowing works in another 14.61 Ha (over 3 Km length in various patches) between Podili - Kanigiri, as compensation is not yet paid. The issue is being discussed during regular meetings at both Distt level & State level as well in PMG meetings.
6. CRB addressed CS/Govt of AP on 23.1.25, requesting for settlement of land compensation and to hand over lands at the earliest. | |
