Background Information
i) Completion Estimate of Kadur -Chikmagalur portion was sanctioned by the Railway Board vide letter dated 21.09.2023. ii) Entire land has been handed over by GoK. iii) Chikamagalur - Hadihalli (9 Km) works completed and engine rolling done during Feb-2025. CRS inspection completed on 29.03.2025. iv) For the balance section Hadihalli - Belur (12.9 Km), EPC tender was awarded for an amount of Rs. 190.21 Cr on 04.06.2024 and initial planning is under progress.i) Completion Estimate of Kadur -Chikmagalur portion after attending the observations of Railway Board was submitted to the Railway Board on 22.06.2023 for a value of Rs.535.21 Cr and the same has been sanctioned by the Railway Board vide letter dated 21.09.2023. ii) Entire land has been handed over by GoK. iii) Chikamagalur - Hadihalli (9 Km) works are in progress. iv) EPC tender for the section between Hadihalli - Belur (13 km) has been opened and is under finalisation.
