| Initially land was to be handed over free of cost by State Govt. of Punjab.
Considering the strategic importance of this project, Railway Board vide letter no. 2009/W-2/NR/SY/3 (3025458) dated 26.04.2024 has intimated that the revised estimate including cost of land be submitted to Railway Board for consideration.
Accordingly, Revised estimate at a total cost of Rs 781 Cr including cost of land (165.69 ha,194 cr.) was submitted to Rly. Bd. on 05.11.2024. Observations of Rly. Bd. received on 14.01.2025 which have been replied on 21.03.2025.
