Background Information

The Detailed Estimate at a cost of Rs.595.39 Crores has been sanctioned by Railway Board on 03.04.2023. Railway Board vide letter dated 28.06.2021 has allotted additional funds of Rs.262Cr under Capital. The additional funds of Rs.262 Cr. has now been deposited to State Govt. for Land Acquisition. The work for construction of bridges-EAK 10 & EAK 17 is awarded on 4.02.2024. Contract for Earthwork awarded on 03.02.2025.

Handing over of land is expected from May 2024. Work of Bridge Nos.EAK 10 & EAK17 have been awarded on 14.02.2024. Tender for Kumbalam yard and reach work is to be called.
